The TVHGC's Big Fat Repack will open doors at 0900 on the 26th March, at
the Rivermead Leisure Complex, Reading
This year we shall have two zip wires to reduce queuing times; and the
repacks are organised by reserve type, to make the task easier, quicker and
more focussed on your particular reserve.
In addition to the usual "how to reply and repack your reserve" and the
first aid talks, we shall have some extra talks on incident management,
reporting and reinforcing a culture of safety, as well as the direct
contribution of Air Ambulance pilots and Medics.
7.30 to 8 will be induction for new members and this will be followed at 8 pm with the coaching evening.
Mainly for newer pilots ( or anyone who wants to turn up - but geared for lower air time). Essentially its an open question evening so you can ask what you like about paragliding and I will do my best to come up with some sensible answers. Anything in particular you want covered let me know. But I will be going over these areas:
Thermalling for beginners.
Getting ready for spring after the winter break
Choosing your site - RASP, weather etc.

Quick‐Out carabiner safety notice ‐ 7. December 2016
On 15 November 2016, the faulty assembly of a Quick‐Out carabiner lead to its accidental opening. The pilot had dismounted both of the Quick‐Out's release buttons and later re‐installed them in swapped positions.
I've received this this afternoon - if you can help them, please do:
