Earlier the thermals were good to 4000 ft but the flight was mostly confined to the ridge due to sparse cumulus clouds and a bit breezy air. At about 2 pm a weak street finally started to form near Truleigh which I took and then I jumped to another line to the north over Henfield - Woodmancote. In the meantime the sky continued to improve, and I started to push into the wind meandering for chasing active clouds. But near Storrington I missed a climb under a dying cloud and the next working clouds seemed too far away and I turned around. While getting back up at west of Steyning I was joined by 2 Zenos coming from Liddington. Then I followed the clouds towards Brightion and got to the base at 5000 ft at the coast over Southwick.
Back at the Dyke closing a triangle, I briefly thermaled with a M6 who I learned later also flew from Liddington and would land at Eastbourne.
