28 Jul 2016 - 22:30

Carrying on from June's evening we will continue the theme of weather, forecasts and improving your flying.

We touched on RASP last time so in this session will cover this in more details and go through the tephigrams (RASP Soundings) in more detail.

I will grab some from July and go over these.

We will also look at things like your first XC, getting away from the Dyke and airspace.

Plus any coaching questions you might have.

7.30 to 8 will be induction for new members then 8 till around 10 ish the coaching evening.

Coaching evening for newer pilots

30 Jun 2016 - 19:30
30 Jun 2016 - 22:22

7.30 to 8 will be induction for new members and this will be followed at 8 pm with the coaching evening.

Mainly for newer pilots ( or anyone who wants to turn up - but geared for lower air time). Essentially its an open question evening so you can ask what you like about paragliding and I will do my best to come up with some sensible answers. Anything in particular you want covered let me know. But I will be going over these areas:

Thermalling for beginners.
The new BHPA Foundation skills syllabus (This has not yet been officially released but I have an advanced copy of it)

RRC weekend 9th -10th April

9 Apr 2016 - 00:00
10 Apr 2016 - 00:00

After a good weekend at Beachy head and with most red ribs getting more good air time, with one young new red rib staying up for most of the day on Sunday, including skimming the rising ridge mist, with us few that didnt want to land, the sun was definitely shinning on us in the air.
Looking ahead to this weekend might keep us guessing if the rain that's forecast, will develop or not, like always, time will tell, and i will post again on fri night for that update.
