hello all ...After a house move and no internet untill just 3 hours ago,so just in time to let you know what might happen this weekend....but first yet again thanks to john T for standing in for me,who didnt have to work too hard this weekend.
Weather ahead as forecast ed looks a bit blowy but shows we might get a chance to fly this weekend,when i say a chance,you know im always very optimistic,will update fri night around 6-7pm...fingers crossed and better cross your legs as well.

Another flying weekend looms,yes ,looks like it will be flyable both days ,heads up, might be dyke for sat and sunday at bo peep.
Lets see if the forecasts as from tonight comes good ,so do your very early pre planning with a good read of the sites guide ,and for those i will see this thurs night at induction.
Will update this post on fri night around 6 pm to what will happen this saturday.
And please post on this page ,if you got any questions or issues that need addressing....sorry to say,i got no control over the weather...

Monthly coaching meeting and induction

Last Thursday of the month will induction for new members from 7.30 till 8 and then a coaching evening.
I am aiming the evening for those pilots thinking of going XC for the first time or are relatively new to XC. (This is both fr CPs and Pilot rated).
We will be taking a look at some of the factors of planning a safe flight including weather conditions and airspace.
It will be at the Glynde Social club

Im back to cheer you all up from my extended adventure into the competition scene,i see that the weather has been kind while i was away as of late,but now im back (some peoples )statistics show its going to be crap weather again...maybe...
Again thx to john T for standing in for me and getting you motivated , flying our sites,and like myself he is always ready to help,as are most seasoned members.
Right then...Whats the weather for flying this weekend ,i hear you asking....Saturday looks like it will rain as a cold front passes across the lower part of the uk ,so maybe book some relaxation time ,and be ready for the quiz nite,that sussex paragliding school are putting on with plenty of cake (cake always works).
Sunday ..well we could have a choice of 2 sites if the weather holds true...not going to tell you ,i want you too study the forecast and you will have to decide what looks best site to fly,might be some (clue)cliff flying action ?.
But all this depends on the weather nearer the weekend,to which i will update on fri night around 6-7 pm...
And on a final note.....while i was away testing some of my flying apparatus,which only gets to see the light of day probably once a year on repacks,does your reserve need a repack or maybe you have not got one yet,if you got any questions about them ,ask me on the hill and i will put you in touch with some club members and local firms that can get you sorted.
And welcome to those ,i have yet to meet that are fresh from the schools....your life now will consist of looking out of windows, up at the sky....

RRC 5/6th september

At the moment looking like mainly NW over the weekend. Saturday looks like it will go N by lunchtime.
SO at the moment I am thinking Firle on Saturday and the Dyke on Sunday.
Also if we do Firle Sat then we will also be local for the SHGC bash.. ( and if its not flyable we can go help Simon with putting up the marquee).
For those new to the club who need to get an induction first them be there for 8.30 anyone else for the RRC 9am.
We will be working on ground handling in stronger winds on Saturday and also setting a couple of goals along the ridge to reach.
Sunday at the Dyke 9 am start ( for those that have survived the SHGC bash)
Not sure if Phil is about so you will get me. I will work with you till 10 and then I will be flying.
RRC 22/23 August

Phil is away this weekend so I will be running the RR club. Last week Phil was at a comp and I was at the BCC so no RR.

Last weekend had its ups and downs for some frill seekers,3 sites 2 days and wind in various forms ,gave us a testing but fun flying adventure.
This weekend and the following two,im away testing my full bar skills in the alps again.I hope whoever that will take charge of the red ribs will be nice too you all,vica versa,and no tree hugging.
