Flight details: | Astonishingly, June actually produced a flyable day, and an XC one to boot. Arrived at 9ish, and ahad first flight - not much doing, but later it got better, and 1200 ATO was to be had easily. Chilled out a bit, then launched again into a nice smooth climb out over the back. 2 or 3 up, no rough bits, and climbed to about 3000 feet ATO. Too high to cut across the 3500ALT airspace, I had to go south instead. Decided that I would land in the middle of Brighton if the drift continued, so headed off east - and bombed out after a brief interlude of zeros over ASDA. Saw John Young land at ASDA, but was on the deck myself shortly after. Phoned John to order my milk and bread, butr got his wife Elaine answering the phone. Silly boy left it behind. So Elaine retrieved me. and John had to make his own way home. |
