Flight details: | I wanted to get away from Mt Caburn before the strong wind set in. I continued back with a dual glider of which I couldn`t identify, until he looked across with a great big Mark Watts smile and a nod.I was on a long glide and going down, there`s a big factory roof at Whitesmith on the A22,so I turned cross wind and went for it,(see snail trail),when I got there I could see the nuts and bolts that held the roof on, all I got was 0-1 up for about 20 mins. Most of the time we were around 2,000ft.Mark went on a glide, and I went back up wind to the last cloud I was in,and got to 3,000ft by which time the blue hole had fill in, so I could continue on my way.On landing a family ran out and offered me tea something to eat, and a lift to the station. |
