| Flight details: | I turned up to the dyke with a lot of hope to go xc but after watching Miles and Matt scratch around at ridge height with loads of pg's for 20 minutes i started to get doubtful, however a gentle thermal came through and nearly all hangies and loads of pg's launched. It was a gentle 2 up to about 750ft but then went to nothing over the back, still i was not going down and nobody going up much quicker in front of me so i drifted with it for a couple of minutes and it steadily increased to a 1 up then jumped into a nice 3 up to over 4000 ft where i decided i was getting too close to the cloud. I floated around for a while waiting for Paul Cryer to catch up and then we headed back to the seabreeze front..... ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC flying in the line of convergence, wingtip in the cloud and stunning veiws all the way to Lewes where i got tricked into heading for a circling orange paraglider a couple of kilometers inland-you know who you are!- only to find more sink! i headed back to the seabreeze front but couldnt work it back up and so landed opposite the sussex hgpg shop where Paul landed a few minutes later and an irate farmer told us to get out of his field and pay him �100 each immediately! he eventually left us alone after lots of apologizing and explaining how we had moved to the edge of his field straight away... Just got home to find my camera didn't record anything! i was so excited to have my wingtip in the sea-breeze cloud on film but now i suppose i'll have to do it again....
