| Flight details: | Started the morning at High and Over, after a short walk flew Bo Peep to Firle, but being early decided to return to Bo Peep area for better climbs. Relaunched at 10 ish and climbed near carpark to base. Clouds streeting so pushed upwind a bit on each street before jumping NW. Slow work over Lewes (got low) and along Ditchling ridge until back at base. Sea breeze front pushed in as I neared Dyke, so carefully got up to near the (higher) inland base before punching into lower sea breeze southerly between the ragged wispies. Dyke to Truleigh done on south facing side of downs in increasing southerly. Could have maybe continued inland, but the next turnpoint was Newhaven and I was hoping to soar the coast. Never happened, wind too light there. Great day though, nice to have summer back! |
