Anyway, took a slow, drifty climb from the W end of Bo-Peep (in the company of a Rush 3 - very helpful working together with you Sir or Madam!!) which then kicked off into a more useful climb at Firle Beacon topping out at about 2,700 ft. Wind now very much from the E, with a touch of S in it as well. Swung S a touch to bag W. Firle for the F and F itinerary, then the transition to Mt C.... Worked OK - took a strong climb above the hill, but now decision time. SBF looked to have reached face of the Downs to the W, but N was completely overcast with no sun on the ground and some scary black bits overhead. Decided to deviate from the F and F route and fly N towards home (just outside Newick and just in the Olympic exclusion zone.......)but left the couple of climbs I found at around 2,200 ft as I was wary of the cloud above so ended up on the ground just outside Barcombe.
Means I have relinquished my position at the bottom of the F and F table - at least for the time being.
And for the technical stuff, I've uploaded a GPS Dump file. I also have a KML Gipsy Flight Management file. Let's see if the GPS Dump works...... |
