Flight details
Title: Combe - Verwood
Site:Combe Gibbet
Pilot:David Hague
Date of flight:27th August 2013
Wing type:Paraglider
Flight details:
Arrived just after 12 to find the wind was top end on the hill, but a few were already flying without problems and they soon climbed out. Launched after the wind dropped slightly, but climbing out wasn't as straightforward as normal (for Combe) and required pushing forwards and to the east under the only clouds forwards of launch. Once at base and a little further south there were lots of large clouds showing lots of large thermals and with a 60k ground speed progress was quick! Started pushing west as soon as possible after Andover but got pinned against the airspace by the strong northerly.

Decided to land next to the largest town for an easy retrieve...and then took 6 hours to get back to the car.
