Flight details:
I was pondering my lack of XC (in the UK) a few days ago and it dawned on me that I've simply got to go with it whenever the chance arises, which basically I haven't been. And to treat every day out, as an XC day with no second guessing.

So, arrived at Bo Peep at 10'ish and it was looking good but still time for a cup of tea and breakfast. Day turned on about 11am (as expected) and I took off, caught a thermal after a couple of beats and went with it. After a mild false start I pushed to the ridge again and caught a better climb which took me to cloudbase; sweet. In the wispies I went on a glide due west and over the Ouse - I caught a very weak climb, which I chased southwest - that was my mistake; should have pushed north west to the Swanborough ridge.

It was a gorgeous flight though and massively reminded me of why I love this sport so much - what an awesomely awesome gift we've been given with these flying contraptions.

Anyhoo, landed in Saltdean and resigned myself to a convoluted retrieve! Bus to Brighton, drop paraglider at home, jump on MTB and ride SDW back to Bo Peep (to pick up my van). Lovely but slightly tiring ride (not helped by the tail-end of a nasty cold).

Now for the rugby - come on Wales!!!!
