Grabbed a small break in the conditions and got an entertaining climb out from the Dyke to about 3000 feet. Already quite a bit of west in it so just kept going. Pete chased after me and caught me up. And then at he next climb I lost it but Pete did well and got back up. As I landed just past Falmer I could see Pete going over Lewes.
Slightly annoyed with self at not staying in the thermal but pleased to sneak in a short Xc.
When I landed I was only a 15 minute walk from the station so used a train and a bus to get back to the Dyke. At a total cost of about 4.70 and only 30 minutes to get back. |
