Flight details:
Not a planned xc flight as red ribbons day kept me busy,i launch after the first xc gaggle darted back to the hill ,as i wanted to catch the converging seabreeze and have a little play in it.It worked, and i got high enough to think an xc might work,so off i goes. A few km's later the small but proficient group of xc hunters was formed and East we went,Mark and Nancy's flight report says it all really. i managed to keep going, while trying to work out where the sea convergence was working best,as finding lifty stuff on my own was hard.It ended with me looking South to bexhill (where i live ) and thinking ,do i wanna land in the country side with a bad knee and have to walk any distance, plus no phone or money with me ,all left in car (the girlfreind say's ,nothing new !),easy answer...no...so now i had a plan..fly home as there is a field at the top and bottom of my road....so turned south ,directly into the sea breeze and hoped for a good lifty glide...dint work..came just short ,but landed in a christian festival in full swing and with being a big torist spot had 500 happy clappers..and they did just that on my landing ,right in the middle of it all.I was well fed and tea a plenty and a nice christian gent offered, and drove me the last few miles too my door step an hour later. They ask me too do the same for the following year.,replying ,will try,as the home made chocy cake was yummy.
Will post flight log tomorrow as just retrieved car and pooped.
