| Flight details: | A bright but breezy day. A bit of boating about and then the thermals started to come through - light with cloudbase still low. Crispin went off first, then Grita. I hung about for a little longer then scrabbled and scratched away from the hill, the usual clinging on to small lift and zeros until, near Laughton, the first climb to cloudbase. C and G succumbed to pub suck, but - resolutely - I carried on..... It got a bit hurly burly at times, with the wind breaking things up and one or two feisty moments. Not familiar yet with the wing, I found myself having to catch hold of it occasionally. Followed the A 265 to Etchingham, then decided I'd had enough and landed by the station. Second flight on the Artik 4 and first xc. Great morning flight!! |
