Flight details: | Borrowed a students glider gin oasis, many thanks John Mitchell.
Took off at 10.30 am. Weak lift in Devils Dyke Bowl, managed to find some lift and and stay above the ridge out front. Flew down to the Edburton Farm. Arrived with around 500Ft Nigel was teaching and another pilot flying XC landed next to him. Not looking good, oh well their is hope, I managed to get a little thermal over the front entrance of Edburton roof tops.
And climb very slowly back out and on my way to steyning Bowl, arrived over Annington, with around 1000ft , I called Pete Bernon of Airports, for a lift, but his answer machine was on. Nigel the farmer was turning the field and tried my luck again and climb over the back of Steyning.
Got low over the golf course back of Worthing, glided into the rear field of Titch Hill Farm, walked out to the road, 30 yards later thumb a lift to Steyning Bowl. Meet Pete Bernon, who very kindly gave me a lift back to Devils Dyke.
