Flight details
Title: Home Run
Site:Mount Caburn
Pilot:Richard Chester-Nash
Date of flight:16th July 2009
Wing type:Paraglider
Flight details:
At about midday after a cyclic morning on an extremely busy hill, I lobbed off and climbed out with the intention of flying home. I had to leave the first thermal to go cross-wind but found another climb quickly, each time setting my sites a little further, the golf club then malling hill. Finally I had enough height to go cross-wind into the field behind Tesco, my nearest easy landing until the crops are harvested. I had 3 chances to take climbs further but I chose not to, especially the one that would have taken me over the Police HQ! Landed well chuffed as Dave N had kindly given me a lift today and the walk back was not going to be much fun.

Several got away in a gaggle earlier in the day, Dave M and Shaun tried later and got to Ringmer but it was starting to look quite good after I landed so you may yet see more XC reports. I'm sure Dave M went back for some more :o)
