Flight details
Title: Devils Dyke to Wagstaff (near Biddenden) in Kent
Site:Devils Dyke
Pilot:Carlo Borsattino
Date of flight:11th August 2009
Wing type:Paraglider
Flight details:
Flight 1. Test flew Nova Mentor M (flown before) for about an hour and a half. Flew to Truleigh (very easily, surprised no one joined me) and out into the valley (towards Steyning) then back again. Lovely glider, thermals and glides very well indeed, very good on bar. Launches very nicely (for pilots who control' their glider up into the air, rather than just pull it up'). I am still really impressed with this glider all round.

Flight 2. Test flew Ozone Rush 2 (also flown before) for over an hour. Flew to Truleigh (very easily again); this time Charlie joined me first then Paul and N. Flew further out into the valley then back again. Lovely glider too (quite different from the Mentor), thermals very well indeed and glides very well too (but I don't think quite as well as the Mentor, which is exceptional). Rush 2 seemed to be out-gliding Charlie on his Venus II on each and every glide, but I think this was probably just down to luck on glides! The Rush 2 has shorter, stiffer, more 'direct' brake travel and feeling than the Mentor, which has longer brake travel and a 'softer' feel. The Rush 2 seemed to launch nicely, although with perhaps slightly more of a tendency to whip up' and pull you off your feet than the Mentor so again best suited to pilots who control' their glider up into the air, rather than just pull it up'.

Conditions started to look good for going XC whilst I was testing the Rush 2, so I rushed (arf arf) back to takeoff to get my own glider out (the superlative Skywalk Poison II, which I've now had many of my best ever flights on).

Flight 3. Struggle, struggle, struggle plop! 6 mins, landed in main bowl. Crikey this is somewhat different to the last 2 wings (and harness) I was flying before! Much more difficult to turn and thermal with oh yes, it's a 2-3 with higher aspect ratio and less forgiving characteristics I remember now! Mental readjustment, concentrate (much) harder

Flight 4 (XC flight). One of my most enjoyable flights th
