Title: Kettle Sings to just past Ledbury
Site:Kettle Sings
Pilot:John Porter
Date of flight:22nd May 2010
Wing type:Paraglider
Flight details:
Thermalled up with about six others in nice thermal. It fizzled out so got bits of other thermals then landed in field next to poly-tunnels. Packed up and walked over brow of a slight hill in landing field. 30 cows saw me as I saw them and they cantered over to meet me. (They must have been at the far end of the field; I didn't notice them from the air). They then formed a semi-circle around me which was very intimidating. Maybe they thought I was going to feed them? As I made a bee-line towards the gate and safety I noticed a rather tall wide-headed black cow with a ring through his nose; hmm, a huge bull guarding his harem. I tried to look confident and, shortly afterwards, broke the UK record for "vaulting a five bar gate with paraglider on back".
