| Flight details: | Boated about for around 40 minutes with a few others to roughly 400 feet ATO (others got higher) then top landed for a rest. Took off again into strongish thermal which resulted in quick frontal collapse and quick self-recovery. Got to about 600 feet above take-off and drifted with the thermal but lost it and landed on north west facing stubbly hill just south east of Newtimber. 6 whole minutes of not-quite XC fun! Thanks to the Swiss couple who gave me a lift back to the Dyke. |
