an almost completely blue day, just a single baby Cu over Lijar. everyone else pushed out into the valley & bombed. went looking for ground sources & hooked into a nice climb back to TO height from 1,000' below. got 4,000' above the mountain - one of the lads on the trip had got 3k the previous day & gone nowhere; I'd said "I'd go if I got 2k", so time to put my money where my mouth was ...
so off I went, grabbed another 500' over the back, long sinky glide, couple of places to circle & drift in zeros, but no clouds to mark the way :( landed just east of the castle at Montellano
three hour walk out - lesson learned: land near a road, or preferrably a bar next time
