Flight details: | I've spent over 3 hours on the Dyke, fighting the strong wind, going up in thermals and then trying to push in front of Truleigh to get a climb over the gap but it just didn't happen. Everytime I got high and pushed in front I ended up less than 1km in front of the ridge and then the lift, if any, would take me back only a few hundered feet over the ridge. Around 2PM it went a bit to the west and dimmed down. This is when it became pleasant and as I was high over Newtimber I pushed on. I had a nice flight and I managed to stay well clear of the Herstmonceux laser which I remembered of, but didn't have in my GPS.
Thank you Scott for the retrieve. |
