Flight details: | Dave Massie, that is -- no sooner had he scrounged a lift back from Saltdean, got his wing out again and taken off, than I looked up and there he was, over the back again. On his first excursion, a few went with him, but pushed back towards launch. Most of us stayed at the hill all day; I started at Bo Peep but, typically, gave up and set off for High and Over just as Bo Peep got quite good for a while. But the forecast easterly appeared, along with sporty but broken thermals which even tempted Tefal off the ground in unaccustomed wind strength. At one point I followed a climb over the back and, rather than risk scraping back to take-off low over the road, and possibly landing on Berey's van, I turned and landed 500m downwind. That makes it a cross-country in my book! When I left at 4.30, guess who was flying again? |
