| Flight details: | Arrived back at High and Over. Dispensed remains of the day's second coffee over a slug near the entrance to the take off. Took off into crowds of people, a few of whom were turning around in the punchy thermals. Took a nice one to 1600 ATO, and decided to squeeze the dregs out of the XC season. It is October, after all; not much chance of any more XC this year. Damned GPS is in proper place this time. A glider doing really well near me went back to the the hill; obviously preferring dodging other gliders to having an adventure. A decent thermal over Newhaven petered out, and went on a glide to Telscombe Tye, where down below some geezer was still ground handling a paraglider. Flew over him, shouting encouragement from above. Walked to David Webb Residential, to buy a couple of houses, but the slacker had sloped off to fly at High and Over. Got lift back from number 12 bus and had nice walk back to H&O, buying diet coke n the way.

Everyone went home; just me and one other in air. Lovely. Took a nice one to 500 ATO, and briefly thought about squeezing the dregs out of the XC season.
