| Flight details: | Been asked to post a Flight Diary despite no Track log. to encourage others to do similar & show rigids aren't ridge hogs even in minor gales.
I forgot two things on this flight, both rather crucial.
1) to turn on the track autologger, as it was turned off after a recent Alpha XCS upgrade, (along with a reversion to metres rather than feet, which gave me a momentary fright when I was out from the ridge)
2) My balaclava, not much fun when there was a constant stream of ice pellets once over 1300ft, the little b*tards don't half sting.
I did remember to go bottom land so as to derigg out of the wind & in relative warmth.
But my Ozzee winter flying suit, & Neroprene Kayak gloves did me proud, only my neck is suffering the effects of the cold .... & a balacalava would have stopped that.
