Flight details: | I had a prior engagement for Saturday afternoon but the forecast looked too good to miss a short flight in the morning. Forecast said NNE veering NE to E but the shop windsock looked NE. Nevertheless, I went to Firle, primarily for more sheltered rigging area and big deep landing field. It got overcast by the time I'd rigged and no-one was doing more than ridge soaring. I had to land after only half an hour. By the time I'd derigged and started to drive away the sky was looking good and a few pilots were starting to climb away from the ridge. |
