| Flight details: | So great to get high at High and Over to begin with. A nice bunch of pilots all flying considerately, so a real pleasure to start the day. Saw Franco so waved my wingtip at him ;-) After getting up, careful slow drifting along the downs and crosswind punts kept Carlo and I in the good air/convergence line. Sky got more overcast the more west we went, which might have helped to slow the seabreeze rush. Great adventure over very friendly terrain. Saw some sailplanes at about 50km out who were getting good climbs even closer to the coast than I was. Got a good climb near the end of the flight and should have drifted downwind from there, but airspace looked tricky and I was trying to get into the Petersfield->Coombe corridor of freedom. Nothing happening at Liss, where the air got grumpy as I dropped into the cool sea air. Skysurfers site Butser just to the south of where I landed. Thanks for the retrieve, Nancy! |
