| Flight details: | Finally I made it to Ramsgate in my second attempt :) well kind the edge of Ramsgate because I couldn't land inside the city due airspace.
So Yuki and I came from London to fly today, very strong wind, we ballasteed up to the top of weight range, Yuki on her Icepeak 21 loaded at max 90kg and me on my Icepeak 19 loaded max at 80kg, just 5 pilots in the hill, 3 PG and 2 HG, we waited a null wind windown and took off, climbed Yuki, a topless HG and me to cloud base and there we went ( another PG pilot following lower).
Technical flight with very windy and inclined thermals, difficult to core, some places very strong steady up to 7m/s near the windturbines, was bit tiring and exalirating to keep the glider open in that conditions, in other places ( blue holes ) the conditions were very weak, with big sink everywhere, we spend long time trying to survive the blue hole by staying in +0.3 lift. Once escaped from there things get super strong again, wind went to 25mph around 12:30pm, half accelerated and I was going at 80km/h tail wind.
Around Kilometer 80 we got very low, Yuki lost the climb and landed and I continued on my own till the edge of airspace of Ramsgate. Arrived there quick and early, run out of land at 3:30pm, landed.
Great flight, although I prefer calmer days, was fun. Video coming soon...
