| Flight details: | Good launch in light conditions. Zero thermals all the way out to the flatlands. Almost bombed out a few hundred feet above the valley floor then found a very slow smooth climb with Owen which eventually elevated us more than 4,000' until we reached an altitude of 1900' above take off. Then heading east at a higher altitude with a westerly behind us we sped along the valley, picking up good climbs in air which became increasingly rough and turbulent. Never ever had such a low save. We finally made our declared goal and landed in Sopot after some very, very strong flying � but every minute worth all the effort! |
