Flight details: | Windy. After a walk, watching the hangies, ventured into the air. All a bit up and down, mixing with our hangie bretheren. Not easy for either I feel, what with differences in turning, visibility and speed but we all seemed to get along ok. I felt the need to jam in one precautionary hand brake turn at one point but that was probably me being over sensitive. Otherwise gold stars all round I feel - at least from my perspective. Hope that feeling is mirrored by the hangie community. Then it started to open up a touch with a few more useful climbs. Eventually, there I was - as they say - at over 3800 so I thought I'd give it a go, heading for previous useful features for the next climb. Hmmmm. Rien, nichts, nada - but a very speedy downwind slide to Stanmer Park uninterrupted by the inconvenience of having to turn in lift. GPS dump tells me 12.4km around the usual unlimited turnpoints. Who am I to argue........? |
