| Flight details: | A nice day out, with breathtaking views of the poppy fields.
It was a bit strong and rough to begin with, with strong sink between thermals. In the afternoon the wind softened a bit and whilst there was still plenty lift around, it was scratchy and too busy for my liking in between cycles, so I landed. I had second thoughts as I was packing up, and I should have listened to them as I hear the day got better in the late afternoon. Yet another lesson learned.
Also, this is the second time when my VG cord gets caught in the plastic bracket over the keel. This time I am sure it happened in flight as I checked it as part of my pre-flight checks. Not sure what's the lesson there, but it sure is annoying when it happens. |
