| Flight details: | Now Chris, I made a point on take off, of telling you that Grita and I were definitely going to go XC today and that since you never leave the hill, we were both looking to you for a retrieve in your comfortable VW 4x4. Well we both left the hill as planned, climbed out and then went our different ways. I bombed out by Ditchling car park with Dave Willis and Grita, bless her, flew all the way home to land at The Lay outside our kitchen window in Beddingham � so you were fortunate in being left off that hook but you left me stranded! I got a lift in the end with Dave Willis and his kind buddy who drove us back to the Dyke only to find you comfortably seated with your feet firmly planted and busy with your mid-morning cuppa. Anyway, I'll let you off this time but I warn you that we will be expecting your services again in the near future, since I am sure that Grita and I will be doing a few more XC's before this summer is out � much longer ones(!), so you'll have the opportunity to drive a lot further next time round! |
