Flight details: | I wasn't enjoying flying at the Dyke - it seemed very lumpy and the tips of my glider didn't seem to want to stay inflated. I was aiming for the most obvious solution, to land at the bottom.
Events seem to have given me a much better option - get away from the hill. The conditions were so much better. First time I'd got away by myself - no-one to pimp off. In some ways that helped - before I reached the top of the climbs I had to choose the next cloud to head for. Great thermal practice and a new (UK) XC personal best.
Roll on next time. Thanks to Stuart from the red ribbon club for the lift back to the Dyke. |
