| Flight details: | After parawaiting to let the wind drop, launched under a milky sky. Weak thermals, drifting back - nothing worth staying with, until Gary marked a climb which I joined and we both climbed away. When that faded, booted off crosswind to the only sensible looking ground source which.......worked! Nice when that happens and it resulted in the best climb of the day up to 3,500ft where we encountered the inversion that was putting a lid on the day. Then a downwind glide to the ground near the Newmarket. Nothing special - but (sadly) my best turnpoint XC of the year to date....... |
