| Flight details: | Had to escape the Southern weather after having sat in work for 4 days watching fluffy white clouds float past my office at LHR.
Having set a goal of Aberystwyth I landed well short, but it still took me hours to get back to the hill. Apparantly the Welsh dont like hitchhikers! I returned to Corndon
for some lovely evening soaring with a number of other pilots, who informed me that only 4 had got away from the hill and noone made it to Aberystwyth. That, selfishly, made me feel much better!
The epic journey to Wales was well worth it, if only for for some fantastic weather and beautiful scenary. The welsh have some amazing sites! |
