| Flight details: | This week I have been holidaying with my fiance and I brought my paraglider along in the hope for a flight or two.
We are staying in Nerja (hour East of Malaga) in my Aunt's house. This was my first Post-CP flight abroad and it won't be my last!
I found Escuela Parapente Eolox and was amazed that they were only 10mins away. I met up with them and they took me out to some mountains!
As I only have 20 hours under my belt I was a little nervous about what to expect. I was thinking huge thermals that would throw me around and hundreds of unhelpful pilots pushing me out of the way. I was even more nervous about embarrassing myself and just doing one big long top to bottom!
We arrived at about 1900 and it was still hot (30c) with lovely blue sky. A couple of other pilots were gearing up and some tandems were throwing their clients around. I watched another British pilot launch off in front of me, who said he has 120hrs but launched like a maniac!
Anyway I bit the bullet launched and soared right up to intimidating cliff face. Mario, my guide, told me to get closer as i was in danger of falling out of the lift. I edged closer to the cliff and hit the lift and flew up doing S turns until I was at the top!
After that I was free to thermal and soar all over the mountains for about 2 hours before the light started to fade!
Epic day and I will be back again!
