After many unsuccessful attempts where I had climbs and then stuffed them and ended up back on take off I finally got a climb and stayed in it ( I think it was my 9th attempt). Took me to base and then I drifted along with it. No one else left with me so I just bimbled along on my own. I could probably have made a bit more of a couple of climbs around the Lewes area and then near the trig point at Bo peep if I had not knackered myself so much from the previous 8 attempts. Finally ended up a few k past Drusillas and at 32 K its my best flight from a Southern site - so I am pleased with it.
I then got a lift back within about 10 minutes of sticking my thumb out from a Lithuanian couple who went out of their way to drive me all the way back to the Dyke. So I was very happy. |
