| Flight details: | As the day started to work, high top cover moved in over to the East. Spent much time going up and down on the boundary between sun and shade until a slightly higher climb and a bit more drift to the W - plus seeing a couple of folk making progress under the cloud and noticing some Cu forming under the top cover - inspired me to head off. Plus a lack of patience..... Found a good climb near the stadium then after a sinky glide towards Kingston, a low save in a climb marked by Catherine gave me the height to foot it over to Beddingham and a better climb off a cropped field under the ridge. By now, the sun had returned. Lovely cropped fields in a row towards Wilmington baking in the sun. Plan was to find the next good climb downwind, then go crosswind towards Wilmington. After all that top cover, it must get easier now...... Er, no. Nothing except some really gnarly stuff when I was too low to be relaxed about it. So landed midway between H and O and Alfriston. Still, with turnpoints 35Km. Walked and bussed to the Cricketers where Maggie retrieved me, picking up Mark and Roger on the way back to DD.
