| Flight details: | Whilst my wife was being told off for exploring a golf course in Aberystwyth (looking for sphagnum moss) I very nearly landed on Hollingbury golf course on a busy Saturday morning which I suspect would be just as welcome.
It was one of those short but very enjoyable flights. I got into a good climb straight from launch, sharing a thermal all the way to the wispies with Greg and his chase cam, then set off towards Brighton sharing thermals with Crispin and Grita and trying to push cross wind to the better clouds to the North.
I was nearly down at Woodingdean but managed to connect with a strong climb back over the houses and pushed on ahead trying to get north of Brighton. There was a weak climb at Moulsecoomb but I was too nervous about climbing low over such a built up area. When I realised I was in danger of not crossing the golf course I returned to land on the open recreation ground and chat to the dog walkers.
Unfortunately my carefully pre-arranged driver had already been requisitioned and I was firmly told that my car was already too full to collect me so it was time for a green retrieve. A walk to Moulsecoomb Station for a train back to Brighton.
