Flight details: | Another flyable day in February.
Was getting some reasonable climbs upto around 2200. Headed for Newtimber and got a climb there.
I should have kept going with it and headed over the back towards the A27.
Instead I opted for the Ditchling ridge as I thought the wind was forecast top go round to the North.
It didn't.
So the ridge was horrible, very patchy lift. I almost got caught going down behind some trees but finally scooted along the ridge with Paul j.
Found really crappy air and eventually landed just the other side of plumpton. And with all these lush green fields of Sussex I managed to find one that was about 90% clay. A lot of hard work for a short flight, but still a lot of fun. |
