Title: Working on bigger triangles
Site:Devils Dyke
Pilot:John Turczak
Date of flight:25th March 2016
Wing type:Paraglider
Flight details:
A very fun day at the Dyke. Very lucky with launch timing and hit a very lifty cycle as I took off. The found a 4 m per sec climb on the ridge to Truleigh. Got to around 2800 and then I didn't really know what to do as I had not planned that far ahead. I saw Vincent and Hugh out towards Truleigh and I thought they were testing a wing and then going back to the Dyke so didn't follow them. So i pottered around looking for the next climb with the idea of a triangle and then spotted Hugh and Vincent half way across the gap to Steyning. So i headed back towards Truleigh but had missed the various climbs by that point. So a chunk of indecision that meant a shorter flight than it could have been.

I then had another go at getting to Truleigh and got caught out with the wind changing direction and ended up slope landing half way there. But still fun in the spring thermals.
