Flight details: | Not so easy to leave the Dyke today, there was a 30mn dead cycle when Luke got screwed, I got luckier (slope landed) and went to Newtimber as soon as I saw it working there.
good climb to base (3000 only) marked by many buzzards
Glided towards a good cloud street/convergence, but caught it very low.
The whole flight was basically like that, get to big black base, glide towards epic clouds, get low, shadow everywhere.
But very funny as I got text book thermal after textbook thermal, solar panels first, then big brown field in a slope with tree line, then little town, etc
Last one was drifting in zeros and ditchling it for a seagull screaming up. She was quite far and I failed to connect, I think I over estimated the drift and should have gone right below.
Luckily landed in a big private school where nice people gave me a lift to staplehurst so that I can get back to Hove just on time for work!
Good times.
