Wing type:Paraglider
Flight details:
Nice day at Caburn, with some fairly big gaggles of pilots flying well.

I'd made some adjustments to my harness, which felt good whilst hanging, but tired my stomach muscles out after an hour flying. This, coupled with the hypnotic effect of so many other pilots in the same thermal, made my thermaling feel a little clumsy at first. Once I had some height, with fewer pilots around, I managed to focus more on my own flying, and feel the air instead of looking at others.

It was quite hard going, without many fluffy cumulus to aim for, and climbs that seemed far from epic. Still, we made reasonable use of what we had. It was nice to have pilots spreading out to search for lift. David Hague, Garry Taylor and Catherine (?) helped me once or twice, I'm sure.

Hopefully good practice for the next epic day.
