| Flight details: | My first time at Leckhampton, and I have to say I was a bit phased by the "Site that Bites" reputation, so probably spent far too much time faffing before I committed aviation! But as I launched I was picked straight up into a thermal, which gave me the advantage over those to took off a minute or two after me and soon found themselves scratching about on the slope. I managed to get away but not a great deal more, I certainly didn't make it to base at any time! After a couple of low saves, and a good 20 minutes trying to hook into the scraps of something over a polo match, I landed about 17 km down wind. |
