Title: Sunday at the Dyke Delivers
Site:Devils Dyke
Pilot:Mark Rubinstein
Date of flight:31st July 2016
Wing type:Paraglider
Flight details:
I was still on the ground when the first gaggle left the Dyke but got a steady climb out to join a group that included Nancy, Phil, Mariusz (who I believe may have had to walk up from a bottom landing near Truleigh when it all switched off early on) and a Buzz pilot. A very nice flight with some lovely views although the level of cloud cover made it hard to find where the climbs where.

The gaggle worked well (most charges being led by Nancy and Phil) and we were trailed by a plucky orange Tequila who although he or she never seemed to get to cloud base kept going much longer than expected. Highlights include passing over Hoogstraten's monstrosity, and having to big ear to avoid busting airspace (and I am relived to note that my maximum height shows that I was 25' below the 4,500 ceiling; too close but the right side of the line). I am not sure where Mariusz disappeared to (possibly going more North), shortly after Mr Buzz landed a column of climbing birds gave Nancy and I our last climb with a bit more height giving me a few more km but no further climbs leaving only Phil Ettinger of our group to carry on.

Thank you to Crispin for a perfect retrieve. A very nice Sunday after a long period of poor weekends for flying.
