Flight details
Title: A Sunday flop from the Dyke
Site:Devils Dyke
Pilot:Mark Rubinstein
Date of flight:18th September 2016
Wing type:Paraglider
Flight details:
On my fourth flight I took off with my speed bar disconnected on one side – I had not realised how much I use the bar until I didn't have it. Once out of a good climb I was able to wander off into clear air whilst I fixed it then cruised to Truleigh which was empty apart from Catherine and three hangies. Catherine did that very irritating thing that she does; one moment she is right next to you in shouting distance then I turn around and she is suddenly hundreds of feet above.

Back above take off all the lift seemed to be above the modellers bowl (high enough to be out of their way) and into a climb with one hanglider all the way to the dark whispies at 3,000', by which time I had drifted to the south end of the golf course. I could have returned but chose to keep going for what turned out to be a lonely, sinky glide to Stanmer Park, landing in the middle of a Frisbee match and an easy bus ride home.

No Cessna's were disturbed by this flight.
