| Flight details: | Seemed like half the Southern club de-camped to Rybury today along with most of the avon and thames valley regulars. Crowded in the air to start but loads of people got away in two or three gaggles which must have left the hill a bit quieter. Weak climb to start, short periods of actual climbing with a lot of turning in zero's. Some really rough air with punchy bits of lift at times. Got a very rough low save over Marlborough golf course then ended up ridge soaring sugar hill (another thames valley SW site) for ages before giving up. grotty cirrus seemed to slow things a bit plus it was surpisingly windy by then. |
