Jenni Fleming, Senior Instructor at FlySussex, will talk on Pilot Development for our November coaching meeting at FlySussex, 7.30 for 8.00 pm.

Senior coach Steve Uzochukwu will give a talk on selecting suitable paragliding equipment. He has recently returned from the Coupe Icare where he has been testing manufacturers’ latest offerings.

Robin Clark will lead a discussion on confidence and dealing with fear in the context of paragliding. To encourage free discussion the event will not be videoed, although slides may be made available afterwards. 7.30 pm for 8.00pm start.
Ked Shayer’s planned talk on thermaling will be rescheduled in the new year.
Ross Weeden will demonstrate how to repack a reserve and answer a Q&A session.
We will NOT be doing a video recording for posting online so you will have to attend in person.

Club coach Gary Burchett will talk about his recent 6 week trip to Turkey learning SIV and acro, where the weather was sometimes as extreme as the flying.

Steve Purdie will explain what can go wrong with your glider in flight, how to prevent it, and what to do when it inevitably happens.
This will help to prepare you for the thermic spring and summer days which are now becoming regular, whether or not you have attended a SIV course recently.

Senior Coach and paramedic Phil Clark will be our speaker at Glynde on 17 May. His talk will cover the Five Hazardous Attitudes of Flying, Competition Safety and First Aid. He will also take questions on his work as a paramedic. There should be something for everyone here so do come along. As usual we will video the event for those who can’t make it.
Brian Greenwell will talk about getting into paragliding competitions through the BCC, British Paragliding Cup, Waypoint Challenge and XC League. Even if your ambitions are only modest BCC is a great way to experience new sites and develop your XC skills. Come along and find out how. We will also touch on the Gin, Naviter and Ozone Opens which are held overseas. As usual for those unable to attend we intend to video the presentation for the club YouTube channel.

A chance to learn about the various devices available and what they do so you can fly more safely in the knowledge that you are visible to other flyers.
