Dave Massie will be supervising an exam session for Pilot / Advanced Pilots.
I have some names already and will arrange for exam papers to be sent to Dave M.
Anyone else wanting to sit the exam please provide Dave M with your name and BHPA number so he can order your papers.
The Glynde Working Men's Club is not available on the 31st, so the venue might be the Trevor Arms... or elsewhere. Vincent will liase with Rob C about combining with an exam session he's planning. Watch this space for date and venue changes.
Meet the coaches meeting the new memebrs.
Followed by:
Final revision and open questions and answers for Pilot exam candidates (or any other interesting topics that come up.)
Pilot candidates please bring your BHPA membership number so we an order the exam papers.
This month in the Glynde Working Men's Club we will have the new members induction at 19.00.
Following that at around 19.30 we will finish the Pilot Lecture series with the short section on Air Law and the last section where it's all put together into the bit about XC flight.
All are welcome. Please join us for a beer and some interesting and useful tips to fly further.
This month in Glynde we'll first meet the new members and then move upstairs for the next bit of P / AP theory, the short section on Airmanship and if we have time begin Air Law.
This month in Glynde we will have Allen Elliott from the local modellers association with us to to tell us about their needs, and for us to explain ours. Please join us for this valuable oppertunity to improve relations with our fellow air-users. A bad model pilot flying together with a bad glider pilot is a lethal combination, whereas a good modeller can be a real wind-dummy assett for a sympathetic glider pilot.
This will be followed by the "Principals of Flight" section of the Pilot lectures.
The first of a series of lectures for those needing to sit their pilot exams, or any other pilots wanting to refresh their XC knowledge (or help / heckle my presentation.)
Remember that CP is only a limited rating to allow newly trained pilots to join a BHPA Coaching Club and continue their learning under guidance of coaches, limiting flying to known club sites and absolutly not going XC. - You're not a qualified pilot until you're a Pilot.
Inductions 19.00. Lecture 19.30
