Overseas pilots are welcome to fly the South Downs as temporary members for up to 14 days, free of charge. Fill in a few details and we’ll email you a sign-in code.

Before you fly — three proofs

After you sign in you’ll be asked to upload three documents. Have them ready (a clear photo or PDF of each is fine):

  • membership of your national association;
  • your level of flying competence (IPPI 3 minimum, or equivalent); and
  • valid £5m third-party insurance.

Your temporary membership becomes active as soon as all three are uploaded. This free pass is available once every 12 months.

Someone we can reach if something happens while you’re flying with us.

Consents

All optional. You can change these later from your member area.

We’ll email you a sign-in code. Once you’re signed in you’ll upload three proofs — national-association membership, IPPI-3 (or equivalent) competence, and £5m third-party insurance — to activate your free 14-day temporary membership.
